How to Hone Your Children's Communication in English.

Many of the parents had asked me the same question, how to hone their wards' communicative English skills.???
All parents are absolutely concerned about the proficiency in communication of their children .
I am coming to that point. Only through constant practice we gain proficiency in English. Naturally we ask what should be practised ? I must say ,certain beneficial habits should be practised....!
I.Practise listening to English news,movies,music so on.

It's not necessary that they should make out the meaning, news and facts at the first attempt. It is damn  sure that they will struggle for a long period of time to understand what they hear.But the practice should go on. To get an exposure ,to hear English is a big thing.

II.Practise the habits of referring dictionaries, grammar books and the books on Common errors in English.!

Words are the essential components in a language,without which none of us can converse.

Words are powerful;It is saying that the right word at right time is a friend. Words are just like our friends. Earn more words and befriend them.Learn all usages and applicability of words in sentences.That's what a good companion of words should do.

III. Practice the habit of reading .

As earlier  discussed ,we should learn words as we acquaint friends. If we see a person only for the first time,we may not recognise him. But frequently seeing him is helpful to keep his features in mind. Same process befalls in reading too.Reading will activate this process in our subconscious mind. The more we see the words,the more  words will be imprinted in our mind.The so called phenomenon of 'recurring ' registers everything learned ,permenantly in your brain.
IV. Practice the habit of learning the sentences with different structures by heart.

Learn by heart ,the well structured ,ready made sentences usable at different contexts of life.
Eg.What can I do for you. Would you mind closing the windows etc.


V. Practise speaking English with your,friends,classmates,parents and teachers.

Communication cannot be improved without deliberate regular practice. Think of the maxim 'Practice makes perfect ' . Do the practice of speaking English without fail. Do not worry about the mistakes. Begin to speak English confidently with your friends,family members and teachers today itself. Only when you begin to speak, your inhibitions will run away from you.
